Limit activity : Be cautious in the use of features which can allow access to proprietary information or that may affect your presence beyond your own profile (“personal” information on the wall, excessive labeling photos, public activity “propaganda” , etc.)..
Use robust passwords : This I think needs no explanation.

However, I think some of these tips conflict with that many people use their social networks want to: enhance their public digital image, to help them learn and be identifiable as active in the social network.
